Spas and mineral springs

People knew about the mineral springs in Slovakia since the time immemorial and soon discovered their medicinal effects. Many of these springs gave rise to spas and some of them became important international therapeutic centres with the most recent and modern equipment for therapy of varied diseases and health problems.

Only a minor part of the mineral waters existing in Slovakia is bottled. If all water of the mineral springs available in Slovakia was exploited, Slovakia could supply this precious gift of nature to all countries of Europe.
