Thanks to its parks and rich flower decoration, Hlohovec is often referred to as the „city of roses“.  Visitors will notice the three story renaissance fortress, which is visible from far away.

The most important centre of the Upper Zemplín the region lying in the north-east tip of Slovakia is HUMENNÉ - the starting point for trips in the National Park of Poloniny and the mountain range Východné Karpaty.

The centre of the Danubeland, the town of KOMÁRNO (population 36,800) lies on the confluence of the Váh and Dunaj. It is one of the oldest towns in Slovakia. The medieval town lived its greatest prosperity in the 15th century when the rulers and court of Kingdom of Hungary frequently stayed in Komárno.

In Slovakia there are still unknown and undiscovered places that are exceptional for their beautiful nature, rich cultural heritage, and kind and hospitable people. KROMPACHY and its surroundings is one such place.

The town of KRUPINA stretches on an alluvial plain of the Krupinica river, on the borderline of the Štiavnické vrchy mountain range and the Krupinská planina Plateau.

The centre of the regions of lower Pohronie and western Poiplie is the district town LEVICE, situated in the immediate vicinity of the old Castle of Levice, the dominant of the town.

The quaint village of LIPTOVSKÁ TEPLIČKA is found in the district of Poprad, at the northern slope of Kráľova hoľa Mt., in close embrace of the Liptovské hole, Vysoké Tatry and Nízke Tatry ranges. It has won the Village of the Year 2007 competition due to its singularity and achievements.

The town of Liptovský Hrádok, the centre of Upper Liptov, is situated at the junction of the rivers Belá and Váh, below the northern peaks of the Low Tatra Mts.
