The town of ŠAHY lies in a picturesque valley that is rimmed by the Krupinská vrchovina hills from the north and by the Börzsöny mountain range from the south. It is located in the southernmost tip of a volcanic fold that is morphologically indicated by the river and the inundation area of the Ipeľ. Šahy was establised at an important medieval trade route that went from the royal seat Esztergom across the Ipeľ river to Banská Štiavnica.

The town of ŠAĽA is located in the northern part of the Danube Lowland and is one of Slovakia´s oldest towns. Šaľa´s surroundings are exceptionally beautiful. Hot summers, early beginning springs and long warm autumn months make this region an ideal place for summer vacation.

ŠTÚROVO is Slovakia´s southernmost town with the warmest climate and widely known for its tolerant atmosphere, as members of diverse ethnic groups and religions live together in harmony. That combination gives the town a special air.

The seat of district administration TOPOĽČANY has not got such a rich history as Nitra, nevertheless it also possesses structures worth to see.

The city of TREBIŠOV is the centre of souther Zemplín. It lies in a compelling enviroment consisting of fields and meadows, orchards and picturesque dows. Part of the region is the Tokaj viticultural region, producing world-famous wines.

The town TURČIANSKE TEPLICE is located in the centre of middle Slovakia in the Turčianska kotlina valley. It is surrounded by Veľká Fatra, Malá Fatra, Žiar and Kremnické vrchy mountains.

Not only is the town of VRANOV NAD TOPĽOU the seat of a district of the same name, but it is also its administrative, economic and cultural centre. It is located at the foothills of the Nízke Beskydy range in the Východoslovenská pahorkatina uplands, at the middle reaches of the Topľa and Ondava rivers.
