Approximate prices of basic products and services in Slovakia

Approximate prices of basic products and services in Slovakia

A price level in the capital city and mostly in its center is generally higher than in any other part of Slovakia. Higher prices are also common in those parts that are frequently visited by the tourists (High Tatras); however, they still do not reach the price level of the capital. On the other hand, the lowest prices are in the southeastern and eastern part. This diversity has to do with the price of services. Huge corporate chains have generally lower prices than small private businesses.
