Caves

Slovakia boasts an unusually varied scale of different karstic phenomena. Water that penetrates into the entrails of limestone mountain ranges and plateaux is the force, which created an extra rich underground world.

The branched labyrinth of cave corridors, domes and halls is adorned by a wide choice of multicoloured ornamentation of dripstones of amazing and surprising beauty. This world submerged in eternal dark was progressively discovered by the Slovak potholers.
