The unique archaeological park Havránok is situated next to the dam Liptovská Mara. It is a magical place and the visit of this Park maybe a great experience.

The name of an important culture, which existed in Slovakia in the remotest history, derives from that of town Púchov. The Púchov culture has been proved by numerous finds near this town which are now deposited in the Archaeological Museum of Púchov Culture.

East Slovakian village Nižná Myšla represents one of the richest archaeological localities in Slovakia where the primeval settlement of Košice and its environs is demonstrated.

A monumental memorial Slavín with a cemetery is a place of reverence where 6845 Soviet soldiers are buried who perished during the liberation of Bratislava and its environs in April 1945.

The Mausoleum of the family Andrassy in Krásnohorské Podhradie, which can be seen from the Krásna Hôrka castle, is called the Slovak Taj Mahal because it was also built as a memorial of a big love.

The Symbolical Cemetery is a dignified memory of the victims of the Tatras. It is situated at Popradské pleso lake in the High Tatras. The visitors are welcomed by the motto written on the chapel wall: “For the memory of the dead - to warn those who are alive”

In addition to a beautiful manor with a large park, remnants of the Roman military camp Gerulata are the main attraction of Bratislava's borough of Rusovce.

The small town of Medzilaborce, situated in the south-east of Slovakia, boasts of two European primacies. After the establishment of the first museum named after Andy Warhol, Medzilaborce has also erected the first statue dedicated to this representative of world pop-art.

On top of the hill Kostolec on the edge of the mountain range Považský Inovec next to the village Ducové near Piešťany there stood once a fortified site of a Great Moravian magnate. Today remains of the fort offer a wonderful view of the lower part of region  Považie.

The Malé Karpaty Mts. in western Slovakia near the Castle Smolenický zámok contain a forested hill called  Molpír. On top of the hill is the historic fortified place. Instructive path leads to this archaeological site.

Hlohovec is one of the few towns in Slovakia which have observatories (19) and one of the five towns with a planetarium. We organize field trips to the planetarium, lectures and astronomic observations of the Sun and the night sky.

If you wish to immerse in the star mysteries for a while, do not hesitate to visit the Tekovská hvezdáreň Observatory in Levice. You might be lucky to see trough the telescope a friendly extra-Terrestrial being waving at you.

In a beautiful place near Kremnické Bane, central Slovakia, a stone is erected next to an ancient church of John Baptist. It reminds the passers-by that it is exactly here that the geographical centre of Europe is situated.
