Piarist monastery and the church of St Ladislav is one of the dominants of the Lower Town in Nitra.

The most valuable building and symbol of Skalica is the Romanesque St George chapel.

If you admire works of art created by medieval artists, you should not miss a chance to see the Gothic Church in Seňa, the village situated in the Košice region. It was built in the period of the transition from Romanesque to Gothic in the second third of the 13^th century and, till this time, several valuable relics in this church have survived the passage of time.

In the cadastre of Dechtice, in the forests of Malé Karpaty, there are ruins of the Church and Monastery of St. Catherine. The monastery founded by count Cristopher Erdödy in 1618 at the place where St. Catherine allegedly revealed herself to the young count and hermit - Ján Appony - belonged to the Franciscan order.

The village of Čečejovce can be proud of its early Gothic church from the end of the 13^th century, which later underwent only minor reconstructions. The restoring staff managed to uncover the valuable medieval fresco paintings, which are now considered the national cultural monument.

In the valley of the river Váh, close by the town of Ilava, we find an undistinguished roman church of very significant historical value.

Ruins of a medieval fortified church are located above the village of Lúčka, situated at the border of the Slovenské rudohorie mountain range and the national park of Slovenský kras. The village had been known since 1409 as part of the Turňa Castle Estate donated to Pál Besen by King Sigismund.

Northwest of Nové Mesto nad Váhom we can find the Bošácka dolina valley, part of the Biele Karpaty (White Carpathians) ridge. There on a hill stands its silent guardian – a fortified small Romanesque church in Haluzice.

The Calvary and its Baroque upper church represent the oldest sight of its kind in the whole area of Gemer. The first construction including seven chapels representing the Stations of the Cross and the upper Church of Mater Dolorosa was built in 1741.

The oldest pilgrim site in Slovakia -  Skalka is located on the way from Trenčín to Nemšová. It consists of two objects: Malá Skalka and Veľká Skalka.

The painting of the “merciful Virgin Mary of Trnava” can be found in the Baroque  Lady Chapel at the St. Nicolas Basilica in Trnava, the construction of which in years 1739 – 1741 was arranged by archbishop Imrich Esterházy.
