The Homeland Studies Museum in Galanta had its seat in the family residence of the Esterházys – a Neo-gothic mansion house in Galanta from 1970. Due to its renovation, the museum was removed to a building of a former bank in the centre of the town. The museum specializes in documenting history of miller´s trade in the river basin of the Malý Dunaj (Little Danube) and lower reaches of the Váh river.

The museum was established in 1975 as a museum of the Vranov nad Topľou district. Since 1976, it has been located at the Renaissance and Baroque manor house in Hanušovce nad Topľou, where it also administers another historical building, that of a Renaissance farm building at the neighbouring Renaissance manor house.

The Homeland Studies Museum in Hlohovec is situated in the Franciscan Monastery from 1492 and it also includes the monastery canteen and the refectory with stucco decoration. Besides this, visitors can also see expositions of pottery, porcelain and glasswork as well as the collection of historical bells and stone sculptures.

The museum collects and shows the objects presenting the history of Trebišov District. It specializes in the history of agriculture and Tokaj viniculture and it is situated in an attractive manor house built at the end of the 18^th century.

The Horehronské Museum in Brezno was established in 1960 as a National history and geography museum of the Brezno District. The museum is situated in two historical buildings in the square in Brezno: in the old Town Hall (it houses the ethnographic exposition) and in a burgess house (it houses the historical exposition).

Built in 1847, the dwelling house in which the folk dwelling exposition is situated is a registered national landmark.

The Humenné Municipal Gallery focuses on works of artists native of the Upper Zemplín region, as well as on works of amateur and naive artists. The gallery features two expositions - in the local Culture House (Dom kultúry) and the amphitheatre's building.

The town of Medzev has an old-time ironworking and smithing tradition, the legacy of which is still alive in one interesting museum – one of the well-preserved hammer mills. It as a unique document of the history of technology in Slovakia!        

J. M. Petzval Museum in Spišská Belá is one of the detached exhibitions of the Slovak Technical Museum in Košice, the only museum in Slovakia focusing on the history of science and technology in this area.

The Ján Koniarek Gallery bears the name of the founder of Slovak sculpture Ján Koniarek, who was born on January 30, 1878 in the village of Voderady and died on May 4, 1952 in Trnava. The gallery was established on June 1, 1976, while since April 1, 2002 it has been managed by the Trnava Self-governing Region.

Ján Palárik - the Roman Catholic priest, pioneer of theatre, playwright, journalist, politician, nationalist, founder and editor of the magazine called Cyril and Method, author of primers and reading books - lived in Majcichov, the village situated 8 km from Trnava, and worked there as a priest from 1862 to 1870.

The building that houses the museum is one of the most distinctive buildings of the square in the town of Liptovský Mikuláš. It has several names - the County House (Stoličný House), the Illešházy Manor House and the Seliga's House. It features a triple arch that is unusual for the town and stands out from the rest of the buildings on the square's western side.

The gallery is located in three renovated 16^th-century buildings in St. Trinity Square (Námestie sv. Trojice).
