The town  Senec in the south-west of Slovakia (25 km away from Bratislava) is a known and popular destination of summer holidaymakers above all due to its stable weather and lakes Slnečné jazerá (Sun Lakes) that stretch on an area of 120 hectares.

Slovenský raj Mts. stretch in the east of Slovakia. The landscape of this mountain range is highly attractive due to its karstic plateaux and narrows where the tourists climb over the roaring waterfalls and the surface karstic forms.

The tallest mountains of Slovakia Vysoké Tatry situated in the north of the country with its tallest peak Gerlachovský štít (2654 m above sea level) is in fact the smallest in Europe in terms of area (what explains their attribute of the “miniature Alps”). However, as far as natural assets are concerned they are among the most interesting in central Europe.

Passing through the region of Liptov, from Liptovský Mikuláš to Ružomberok, one must notice a huge water area of the dam Liptovská Mara. It is the largest water reservoir in Slovakia in terms of the confined water volume.

The water reservoir Orava is the result of artificial blocking of the river Orava in northern Slovakia as the remedy to frequent floods. It spreads as far as the Polish frontier. There is an island in the middle of the reservoir called Slanický ostrov - the favourite destinations of trippers.

There are three most visited localities in the Pieniny Mts. - the wonderful canyon of the frontier river Dunajec, the almost 300 m deep narrow of the brook Lesnícky potok and the rocks Haligovské skaly.

A popular summer holiday resort, the water reservoir Sĺňava, is next to the world famous spa Piešťany situated in west of Slovakia.

The green pearl of eastern Slovakia - the water reservoir Veľká Domaša built on the river Ondava is situated in the mountains Ondavská vrchovina. Warm climate of the lake favours water sports and fishing.

In the northern part of the lowland Východoslovenská nížina, the water reservoir attracts in summer season. Due to its very favourable local climate, it is widely used for recreation.

The recreation area of Zlaté piesky is situated on the north-eastern edge of the Capital Bratislava in a peaceful place protected by abundant greenery. Its atmosphere is similar to that of a  seaside.

The Kunov Dam is a suburban holiday resort, located only five kilometres from the town of Senica.

The Malá Fatra Mts. is one of the most valuable mountain ranges of Slovakia in terms of landscape. It spreads in the north-west of Slovakia and it is full of tourists in every season of the year.

Nitrianske Rudno is located in the ledge of the Upper Nitra Basin, at the foothill of the Strážov Mountains. Its water reservoir is the centre of local tourism, with the area of Nitrianske Rudno being a sought-after holiday resort by young people.

Following the Vysoké Tatry Mts. the Nízke Tatry is the second tallest mountain range of Slovakia and a much sought after recreation resort in all seasons.

Slovenský kras (Slovak Karst) along with the Aggtelek karst in Hungary forms one unit which is the most extensive karstic territory in central Europe. It stretches on the area of 600 km² and it contains 1110 caves and abysses.
