A unique historical military camp, placed outside the castle walls and offering a picture of military life in the 16th century, makes the town of Stará Ľubovňa an attractive visitors' destination. The camp is an ideal place for summer camps, school excursions and trips.
The medieval military camp opens its gates and invites visitors to a three-day stay in medieval times called “A Gate to History”, suitable for school trips. Its interesting programme guarantees plenty of experiences.
The expedition to the past includes:
• accommodation - in medieval tents for two or six persons, sleeping in a sleeping bag on a mattress placed on a wooden chest that serves as a storage space at the same time, shared bathrooms and toilets;
• boarding – medieval specialities served in captain’s house;
full board starts with lunch on the arrival day and finishes with breakfast on the departure day;
• visit to St Nicholas Church and the House of a Ľubovňa Burgess where children can mint their own „Ľubovňa's gold“ coin and loft ghosts will tell their stories;
• entertaining four-hour programme in the historical military camp;
