Almost every region of Slovakia offers an opportunity to explore the castles, most of which were built before the half of the 15th century. Castles were either recontructed or have fallen into ruin and have become interesting for those with explorer spirits.
DAY 1 Arrive at Bratislava or Vienna airport and then transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city
DAY 2 Tour of Bratislava in the famous old-timer train “Presporacik” where you’ll visit the capital’ s dominant Bratislava castle. In the afternoon we’ll depart to the ruins of Devin castle and Beckov castle.
DAY 3 You will explore the historical town of Trencin famous for Trencin castle, which was the seat of Matus Csak at that time, the most powerful Ugrian magnate who ruled over the whole Slovakia. In the afternoon we will visit The National horse Stud Topolcianky and stay overnight in the beautiful Chateau Topolcianky, which was a favourite place of the former president T.G.Masaryk.
DAY 4 After breakfast we will transfer to Bojnice castle, the most beautiful fairytale castle of Slovakia, you will also get an opportunity to visit the ZOO.
DAY 5 Transfer to Spis castle, one of Slovakia’s most extensive castles inscribed on the UNESCO World heritage list. During the transfer to Spis we will stop at Krasna Horka castle, lately damaged in fire.
DAY 6 Levoca - located in the historic region of Spis, which has many historic landmarks especially wooden Gothic altar. In the afternoon we will explore the beauty of High Tatras and cable car to the top of Lomnicky peak.
DAY 7 Orava Castle and oper air museum of the Slovak village in Martin
DAY 8 Strecno castle and return to Bratislava
