Opening of the new route to Copenhagen
Airport Bratislava at presence of Danish ambassador, her Excellency Ms Anita Hugau, general director of the Slovak Tourist Board (SACR), Mr Frantisek Stano and Chief Executive Officer of Airport Bratislava, Maros Jancula, inaugurated route between Bratislava and Copenhagen, operated by low-cost carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle. The first flight to Copenhagen represents one of the key bricks of a coloured mosaic of 214 scheduled destinations from Airport Bratislava. Therefore today all passengers were given red T-shirts with signs of Slovak and Danish cities and a symbolical Lego brick together with a title: “First flight, first piece.”
Opening the connection with the largest Scandinavian airport completes the offer of direct flights to the three European metropolises. Via them passengers can continue to another 190 interesting places in the World using only one single check-in in Bratislava. It is a comfortable and full-value transfer connection without any need to pick up the baggage and proceed to another check-in and without any doubt about continuity of the flights.
Airport Bratislava offers this summer besides 24 direct scheduled flights also 46 summer holiday destinations and another 190 destinations with just one stop in Oslo, Moscow and Copenhagen. Flights to Copenhagen and Oslo are operated twice a week by Norwegian Air Shuttle, flights to Moscow are operated daily by UTair, the second largest Russian carrier. From May 3rd 2012 the passengers can fly from Airport Bratislava to unbelievable 260 destinations with just one ticket.
