The Dunajec flows amid the picturesque mountains of the National Park of Pieniny. Its riverbed is stony and it boasts a number of cascades and meanders.
The Dunajec enters a wonderful canyon next to Červený Kláštor called Prielom Dunajca. It forms frequent but not insuperable cascades in this place. Rafting on this river is also suitable for less experienced persons.
Rafting on wooden rafts on this river has recently become a much sought after attraction for tourists on the common Slovak-Polish river reach of the Dunajec. During the summer season sightseeing trips on wooden rafts are organized by various associations and organizations which offer it on different reaches of the river with a varied length.
