„Fabulous Castle“ in Bojnice is the biggest fabulous theatre festival in Central and Eastern Europe. In the month of June, the Castle of Bojnice suddenly turns into a magical place, full of weird creatures and famous fairy-tale heroes.
"In a land far, far away..." – these words, well known by both children and adults, will echo and re-echo throughout the whole Bojnice Castle in June. Come and become part of the unforgettable stories that pave your life from the cradle to the grave.
Fairy-tale is like a gentle breeze. It makes the children sleep peacefully and brings sweet memories to the parents. Fairy-tale has a soul - it lives a thousand lives and lives them with us. It is wisdom and a gentle touch in one. Deep within, it treasures the key to the perpetual fight between good and evil.
Since its existence (since 1997), the Fabulous Castle Festival has won the heart of many visitors, either young or old. Every year, there is a new programme and a new fairy-tale plot. In the year 1997, the programme was called Beauty of the World. Later followed Sleeping Beaty, Haughty Princess, Terribly Happy Princess, Phantom of the Fabulous Castle, Castle under a Spell, Magic Everywhere, and the mentioned, most successful, year of 2006 with Sandman’s Goodnight Stories. Come and enter through the gate into the adventure zone.
After visiting the Fabulous Castle, you will surely find walking in a nearby park quite relaxing. Let your mind relive the magical experience from the Castle in one of the local, cosy restaurants. After the meal, you can still top the day’s experience with a visit to the local Zoological garden or the Bojnice Spa.
