Description of the route: Comparatively demanding tour with almost 1,000 m elevation gain. The ascent to the high-mountain environment above the upper timberline is connected with risks, for instance extreme climate, poor visibility associated with the risk to go astray. The tour is an ascent to the tallest mountain of the outer part of the Western Carpathians, the Babia hora Mt. The mountain distinctly towers above the surrounding landscape and provides a fantastic panoramic view comprising practically the whole region of the Orava and Tatras. In good weather also a part of the Polish Beskydy Mts. can be seen.
