Description of the route: Difficult and demanding tour because of steep ascent and its overall length. Orientation is easy. Increased attention is needed in rainy weather on steep slopes. Otherwise the tour is extremely interesting and attractive.
The Tlstá Mt. is fairly hard to climb even for experienced hikers, because of tall cliffs and rock terraces beyond the altitude of 700 m. Walking on the trail the hiker passes by one of the largest caves of the Veľká Fatra Mts., the Mažarná cave. The cave is closed to public and the hikers must limit themselves to admiring of its magnificent portal.
