An 18 km long valley with the river Bošáčka, will grasp your attention thanks to its national beauties, cultural history, ethnological and gastronomical heritages. At the beginning of the valley there are Trenčianske Bohuslavice with a baroque chapel, one of the most valued of its kind in Slovakia. Don’t miss some of the organ concerts which take place here, thanks to outstanding acoustics. However, if you want a closer look at the interior of the chapel it is necessary to contact the priest’s office.

Follow the footsteps of Jiraseks novel Bratstvo and visit Haluzice with a roman church, where part of this novel is set. The church is open to the public.

In Zemianske Podhradie you can encounter our national history and become acquainted with places where Ľudovít Štúr was hiding from the emperors army and had a romance with Adela Ostrolúcka.

During the visit to Bošácka dolina you shouldn’t avoid Bošáca, which is famous for its slivovica (spirit made of plums), folk costume and folk architecture. Why does the best Slovak slivovica come from Bošáca? Would you like to know how people lived in the past? The answer you can find in the House of Folk Culture (Museum of Bošácka valley). The original farmer’s house is equipped with all original furniture and fittings. Also displayed are unique local folk costumes. So don’t hesitate to come and visit slivovica at the heart of its birthplace. Where it is also possible to visit its historical birth at the distillery.

For tourists and biology enthusiasts there is an ideal conserved area of the mountain Turecko with many protected flora and fauna.

Bošácka valley is an ideal location for cycling and hiking. After a nice day you can get accommodation in nearby hotels in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, Trenčín or Trenčianske Bohuslavice, the perfect setting of which allows you to enjoy the traditions of Bošácka Valley – Bošácka slivovica.
