Mariánska hora (Marian Hill) in Levoča is one of the oldest and best known pilgrimage sites in Slovakia. The pilgrimage that takes place annually on the first Sunday in July may be traced back to the times when the Friars Minor, spreading Marian veneration, consecrated the chapel built on the hill to the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the end of the 14th century.

The Bažant Pohoda music festival, which is organized every year in Trenčín, is the largest open-air music festival in Slovakia and one of the largest in Central Europe.

Tajchy are lakes situated in central Slovakia. They were constructed for the needs of the local mines and today they serve for recreation bathing in the wonderful natural setting next to Banská Štiavnica, the town inscribed in the UNESCO List of Natural and Cultural Heritage.

The gem among the towns of Slovakia is undoubtedly BANSKÁ ŠTIAVNICA situated in the heart of the Štiavnické vrchy Mts. Its undeniable values and beauty caused that it is one of the first Slovak towns that has been included into the List of the World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in 1996.

The ancient town of BARDEJOV is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns in Slovakia. It was inscribed into the List of the World Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO in 2000.

The Greek Catholic wooden church of St Nicolas. In 2008, along with seven wooden churches of the Slovak part of Carpathian Mountain Area, it was included on the UNESCO's Word Heritage List.

Arboretum Mlyňany boasts the largest and most valuable exotic evergreen wood species in Slovakia. It also is one of the biggest in central Europe.

Demänovská jaskyňa slobody is part of the huge underground karst system in the valley Demänovská dolina below the Nízke Tatry Mts. It boasts a unique drip stone ornamentation, which makes it one of the most beautiful caves of Europe.

The village Štefanová with numerous buildings built in traditional style is situated in the north-west of Slovakia at the foothill of the mountain Veľký Rozsutec (1,610 m).

In the south-western edge of the Slovenský raj Mts. is the Dobšinská ľadová jaskyňa cave, one of the largest ice caves in Europe. Thanks to its significance and unique ornamentation, it was included into the List of the Cultural and Natural Heritage of UNESCO.
