Biely Potok is the salient point for the community of VLKOLÍNEC - a monument reserve of folk architecture. This extraordinary and remarkable oasis of folk architecture was included in the List of the World Cultural and Nature Heritage of UNESCO in 1993.

The name of an important culture, which existed in Slovakia in the remotest history, derives from that of town Púchov. The Púchov culture has been proved by numerous finds near this town which are now deposited in the Archaeological Museum of Púchov Culture.

The town castle was once formed by several ancient buildings in the central Slovakian metropolis Banská Bystrica. Its task was to protect the income proceedings of copper and silver mining for the royal treasury.

The Castle of Budatín with a strategic position at the confluence of the Váh and the Kysuca rivers is a dominant of Žilina.

The dominant of the town Kežmarok is the Castle  Kežmarský hrad that has entered the history of tourism in the High Tatras as the salient point of the first known tourist trip to this mountain range. 

The bishop Cathedral of St Emeram at the Castle of Nitra originated by joining three temples of different age. It consists of the church from the 11th century, originally the Gothic Upper church from the 14th century and the Lower church from the 17th century.
